In the mood for Spring

Flower viewing is in the air. With the touch of warm sunshine and cool breeze of winter yesterday, a co-teacher and I went out to see the blooming sakura and plums in one of the biggest park in Senboku, the Kozen Koen just after lunch time. We could smell the fresh-fruity light scent of the blossoming flowers as we walk along the grove of about 3000 and more ume trees. The park is open for viewing since February and visitors can enjoy a lot of varieties of cherry, azalea, apricots, and water iris. Kozen Park is located at the south of Sakai in Osaka.
Peak viewing time is in mid-February to March.
You can get to Kozen Park by taking the Semboku Line via Nankai Railway and get off at Izumigaoka Station. You can take a bus heading to Kozen Park and get off at the Miyayamadai-nicho stop.
